What is Employee Financial Wellbeing and Why is it Important?

The financial wellbeing of your employees is crucial, not only because it helps them manage their finances, but it also is likely to increase productivity, engagement and retention.

A recent Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and Simplyhealth survey showed nearly a quarter of respondents reported poor financial wellbeing as a significant cause of employee stress.

The way in which employees see themselves, and their understanding of what makes them happy, is critical to the success of any business. Mental health has always been seen as a wellbeing priority, and post-pandemic this has a much higher profile.
