Kieran joined our Aberdeen office as a Trainee Financial Planning Administrator in January 2023. Having worked in a small financial advice firm since February 2022, he decided to pursue a career in financial advice but in a larger company.

A member of the Scotland Supporters Club, Kieran goes to watch all the Scotland home games and hopes to fit in some away games soon. He also enjoys watching league games nationwide and aims to visit every stadium in the top 4 Scottish tiers.

What do you like most about working at Acumen Financial Planning?

“Meeting the team. Everyone has been very welcoming and supportive, and I know the amount of knowledge that everyone in the company has will help me progress in my career.”

What has been your proudest career achievement to date?

“Getting my first job in the world of finance. Not having any real work or educational experience meant that I would have to sell myself to an employer, and I was thrilled to find out I had achieved this.”

Tell us one thing that people would be surprised to find out about you.

“I have an Honours degree in Forensic & Analytical Science from RGU.”

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

“Always try and find a positive, even in the worst situations. There is always an opportunity to learn and develop yourself.”
