Julie Shand

Training & Competence Supervisor

Aberdeen

Beginning her career in financial services upon leaving school, Julie has held various roles in the banking sector, from cashier (later cashier supervisor) to banking advisor, before moving on to become a mortgage reviewer and advisor. As supervisor of the counter team within Bank of Scotland, she dealt with all areas of compliance while studying for her Mortgage Advice and Practice Certificate (MAPC).

Following a move into a large Mortgage Advisor team and subsequent maternity leave, Julie took a career break in 2016 to attend college before joining our Business Support team in 2021. Julie then became Training & Competence Supervisor in 2023.

In her spare time, Julie enjoys hillwalking with her dog, yoga, and seeing live bands.
