Jonathan joined Acumen Financial Planning as an Associate Financial Planner in January 2026. He began his career in teaching, working in Belfast before later moving to Edinburgh. With a long-standing interest in financial planning, the move to Edinburgh offered the opportunity to explore a new career path. After completing the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, Jonathan joined Acumen Financial Planning and is enjoying developing his career within the team.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

“I have a strong interest in Athletics, having competed in the sport for many years. I still run regularly and now coach the University of Edinburgh’s endurance squad.”

What has been your proudest career achievement to date?

“Being offered the opportunity to join the Acumen team and begin my journey in financial planning.”

“Be consistent! To move mountains, you must start by carrying small stones…”
