Diana has been with the team since July 2012, initially joining the Administration Team before becoming Team Lead in 2014 and later joining the paraplanning team in 2018.

Based in the Aberdeen office, Diana has worked her way up and gained a great deal of experience working with clients and the Acumen Financial Planning team in the process.

Diana holds the Financial Services Products and Solutions (LP2) qualification and is currently working towards gaining her Financial Services, Regulation and Ethics (R01) exam.

Outside her day-to-day role, Diana loves travelling through Scotland, especially the Isles.

Diana supports Financial Planner, Sue Williamson.

What do you like most about working at Acumen Financial Planning?

“Although it sounds like a cliché, the fact that I am part of a team that makes a real difference to clients’ lives is important to me. I believe in the advice we give to our clients and that we make a positive difference in their lives. I also enjoy learning something new almost every day and the fact that this job still challenges me in many ways.”

What has been your proudest career achievement to date?

“Being promoted to admin team lead in 2014 and again being promoted to paraplanner in August 2018.”

Tell us one thing that people would be surprised to find out about you.

“I was an au pair when I came to the UK 17 years ago. But I was looking after two Westies rather than kids!”

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

“Do the best you can possibly do in your job and never believe you are irreplaceable.”
