A Chartered Financial Planner with an MBA, Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership (Level 7), Chris joined the Medical & Dental team in September 2021.

Having spent almost a decade working for a multinational financial services company in various roles, the arrival of two children accelerated Chris move away from the big city lights to somewhere his family could call home.

With family in the area, Aberdeen was a natural move, and fortunately, there was an exciting opportunity available to join Medical & Dental Financial Planners, which suited Chris perfectly.

When not running around with his two young kids, he enjoys playing tennis and golf. He also enjoys seeing new places and embarking on new experiences at home and abroad (when possible).

What do you like most about working at Medical & Dental Financial Planners?

“Helping clients plan for and achieve the hopes and dreams they want and deserve, as well as the wonderful colleagues I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and working with. Understanding and supporting people is at the heart of what we do, and seeking to understand before trying to be understood is paramount. We have two ears and one mouth for a reason – a ratio it’s wise to remember at times.”

What has been your proudest career achievement to date?

“Graduating with a distinction in an Executive MBA, whilst working full time and having our first child.”

Tell us one thing that people would be surprised to find out about you.

“My undergraduate degree was Genetics with Immunology.”

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

“Don’t short-change yourself or others. Do the best that you can in the moment you find yourself, with the resources you have available.”
