One year after graduating with a degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Aberdeen, Charlotte joined the Westhill office at the beginning of November 2021.

With a keen interest in all things finance, Charlotte began to research the career path to becoming a financial planner. Armed with advice from one of our paraplanners, Alana Davidson, she soon applied to join our team.

What do you like most about working at Acumen Financial Planning?

“The people. I am very new to the office, but I can say that the people make the place. Everyone has been so welcoming, and they have all made learning new things a lot easier. They are also so supportive when it comes to the development of your career and achieving your goals.”

What has been your proudest career achievement to date?

“I’m just starting my career, so it is yet to happen.”

Tell us one thing that people would be surprised to find out about you.

“I love to help people. So when lockdown started, I began training to volunteer with the Citizens Advice Bureau. No two phone calls are the same, and knowing that I’ve been able to help in a little way by providing information and support is amazing!”

“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.”
