Having earned two degrees – an MA (Hons) and MSc in the subjects of Geography, Italian, and Urban & Regional Planning – Andrew shifted his focus to Financial Services.

He holds a Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS) as well as being a level 4 mortgage adviser (CertSMP), and has worked in wealth management since 2011.

What do you like most about working at Acumen Financial Planning?

“I wanted to join Acumen Financial Planning, mainly because having looked into the firm, I was impressed at the way the firm works, its ethos, its commitment to its people and the service it provides to its clients. In addition, I love that Acumen focuses solely on core financial planning and not on the conversion of leads or products.

“Working with the team to build client plans which ensure their long-term financial independence.”

What has been your proudest career achievement to date?

“Getting the call from Dave to offer me the position at Acumen Financial Planning.”

Tell us one thing that people would be surprised to find out about you.

“I speak fluent Italian and lived in Turin for a year while studying at the University of Glasgow.”

“Don’t wait for the time to be right. When opportunities arise, take them with both hands.”
