Andrew was first introduced to the Acumen Financial Planning team when he undertook one week of work experience in December 2018. He joined the team as a permanent staff member six months later after completing his studies at Westhill Academy.

He supports all teams across our offices in Aberdeen, Elgin, Glasgow and Edinburgh, and holds a Diploma in Financial Planning.

What do you like most about working at Acumen Financial Planning?

“The people and how every day is different. I also enjoy how I’m always learning every day.”

What has been your proudest career achievement to date?

“Passing my exams and getting this job!”

Tell us one thing that people would be surprised to find out about you.

“I represented Scotland Internationally at Table tennis. I started at an after school club aged 8, and I was ranked number 1 in the under 13 category. I’ve played in countries like Germany and Ireland.”

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

“Tell people what you want. How are they supposed to know if you don’t tell them?”
