Further to attending the University of Aberdeen, Rhian fell in love with the city and joined Acumen Financial Planning in Aberdeen in 2006, joining the support team she trained as as a Paraplanner and subsequently became a Financial Planner in 2011. "Acumen Financial Planning had and still has a great reputation and ethos and that attracted me to the role here and is why I am still here all these years later!"
"I enjoy helping clients to achieve their financial goals and live life in the knowledge that they are on the right path financially, and while there may be obstacles along the way, they have a plan in place that can be altered to support them through every turn and decision throughout their lives. I am passionate about the use of financial modelling to present to clients the potential within their wealth, and the ability to achieve their goals, whether that be retiring early or supporting the next generation throughout their lifetime and beyond. I work with a diverse set of clients and circumstances, and continue to be inspired by their stories and plans. I specialise in Estate Planning and the use of Trusts."
Rhian has many moments that have made her proud in her career to date, especially when providing reassurance to clients in times of uncertainty, as was the case when some clients faced redundancy with the oil and gas market downturn a few years ago. "I feel proud to have contributed to a multi-award-winning team."
As a mum of two young children, Rhian's time outside of work revolves around family time and her children's activities rather than her own, but when time allows she enjoys cooking and playing the piano.
